Discover the remarkable Kimberley Coast home to towering waterfalls, rugged outback landscapes, ancient Aboriginal art and abundant wildlife.
Make two landings most days aboard the unique ‘Xplorer’ excursion vessel and fleet of inflatable zodiacs with the expert guides to visit the majestic King George River with its towering 80-metre twin falls, the mysterious Bradshaw (Gwion), Paintings of Bigge Island and Mitchell Plateau.
Cruise the Kimberley’s ‘big’ rivers and experience the beautiful King Cascades, remarkable Montgomery Reef and the amazing natural phenomenon of the Horizontal Falls.
Day 1-2: King George River & Falls | Cruise across the Cambridge Gulf to King George River for Xplorer and zodiac excursions to the falls and afternoon beach walk at Tranquil Bay.
Day 3-4: Jar Island to Mitchell Falls | Vansittart Bays walk and Jar Island to view Aboriginal art. Visits to Hathways Hideaway and Mitchell Falls with sunset beach BBQ.
Day 5-6: Bigge Is to King Cascades | Visit Bigge Island to view Rock art then to Careening Bay to see the Boab tree inscribed ‘HMC Mermaid 1820’. Next day Xplorer cruise into Prince Regent River and King Cascades with picnic lunch.
Day 7-8: Montgomery Reef – Ruby Falls | See Montgomery Reef appear as the tide ebbs then cruise to Doubtful Bay. Next day to Raft Point via Kuri Bay home to pearl farming going ashore to view Rock art then to Ruby Falls.
Day 9-11: Horizontal Falls – Lacepede Island – Broome | Cruising the Buccaneer Archipelago to enjoy a thrilling zodiac ride through the Horizontal Falls in Talbot Bay. Next day to Lacepede Islands with zodiac nature excursions and an evening Captain’s Farewell Drinks arriving in Broome the following morning where the cruise ends.
