The Safari Explorer offers personal comforts, included amenities, exclusivity, and upscale accommodation for 36 guests in 18 generously sized air conditioned staterooms all featuring queen or twin beds and large private bath with shower and wide panoramic windows.
Guests enjoy breathtaking views from three public decks and on board facilities include a wine library, a lounge/bar and an elegant dining room both with comfortable seating for all 36 guests. There is an upper sun deck with covered area, sauna, hot tub and fitness equipment. Also on board is a massage room plus excursions zodiacs as well as kayaks and on the rear lower deck the swim step provides easy water access for swimmers and kayakers as well as for those joining zodiac excursions.
Day 1-2: Molaka’i | Take a cultural lessons in taro patches and poi making, or hike to a towering waterfall in Halawa’s cathedral valley—one of the island’s most historic places. At the Moloka’i Museum hear the legends and lore as you discover the history of this ancient land In the evening there is a pa’ina (feast), complete with a home-style Hawaiian jam session.
Day 3: Lana’i | Here thousand foot sea cliffs line the shore and ancient volcanic plugs sit both above and below the water surface as host to a wide diversity of marine life. Snorkel, paddle board, kayak, and explore by skiff and enjoy a short hike to the island’s spatter and cinder cone. Visit the quaint Lana’i Culture and Heritage Center and learn about the islands plantation days.
Day 4: Olowalu and West Maui | Morning snorkeling among coral gardens teaming with underwater life and a known sea turtle habitat. Located between Lana’i, Moloka’i, and Maui “The Humpback National Marine Sanctuary” provides front-row seats as you cruise searching for dolphins, whales, and other marine life.
Day 5: Captain’s Choice Exploration | Leave it to your Captain and crew to seek out and unveil the best opportunities the islands hold in store today for snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
Day 6: Honomalino Bay | Offers a morning of snorkeling, paddle boarding, and kayaking among a diversity of colorful corals, sponges, and tropical fishes. Kayaking and skiff tours around lava tubes fill out the afternoon and in the evening we anchor offshore for a thrilling night snorkel with Giant Pacific Manta rays.
Day 7: Kailua-Kona | Skiff to Kealakekua Bay, where Captain Cook died in 1779, for some of the island’s best snorkelling then enjoy a stroll through town at your own pace and in the evening the Captain’s Dinner and the crew’s photographic display of your weeks adventures
Day 8: Hawai’i | Disembark after breakfast with a transfer to the Kona Airport or to your next hotel.
