Day 2: King George Island | A two-hour flight to King George Island, South Shetlands with visits to Chile’s Frei and Russia’s Bellingshausen stations on arrival before boarding a Zodiac to embark your expedition vessel.
Day 3-6: Antarctic Peninsula | Cruise from the South Shetland Islands to the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula and return sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs and wildlife such of sea birds, penguins, seals and whales with spectacular vistas from the glass-enclosed ship’s lounge.
The Expedition Team sets the ship’s route to take best advantage of the prevailing weather and other local conditions hence there is no fixed itinerary but you may expect visits to sites such as Paulet Island, Hope Bay, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay, Deception Island, the Lemaire Channel, or many other magnificent places. Daily guided Zodiac expeditions and an engaging program of lectures and presentations are provided designed to ensure guests attain the most from their time at the Peninsula.
Day 7: Punta Arenas | Returning to King George Island to zodiac ashore for the flight back to Punta Arenas where your cruise ends on arrival.
