Day 1: San José del Cabo | Airport transfer to ship with sun set cruise, cocktails and dinner.
Day 2: Gordo Banks | An underwater sea mount five miles off Baja’s southern tip inhabited by humpback whales, Manta rays, tuna, dolphins, and hammerhead sharks.
Day 3: Isla San Frisco | Visiting these islands, once famous for black pearls we begin our snorkelling and kayaking and later take a guided walk to the desert rim to view the spectacular sunset.
Day 4: Isla Santa Catalina / Bahía Agua Verde | At Isla Santa Catalina a guided hike among a forest of the world’s tallest cactus – the giant Cardón. Later, in the crystal clear waters of Bahía Agua Verde bordered by sparse craggy mountains hemmed in green, we explore the coast by small skiff, visit a local ranchero and take a canyon burro ride.
Day 5: Magdalena Bay / Marine | Mammal Viewing Docking at Puerto Escondido we head across the peninsula for our whale viewing excursion searching for pods of dolphins, blue, fin, sei, orca and sperm whales. Blue-footed boobies, brown pelicans, cormorants, and gulls abound and, weather permitting, we enjoy a sunset bonfire and BBQ.
Day 6: Isla Carmen | Here we drop anchor in a hidden cove straight out of a movie set with options for today including kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkelling, and beachcombing, or a guided hike where we learn about the geologic forces that formed the islands.
Day 7: Los Islotes / Ensenada Grande | At Los Islotes, a steep rocky outcrop leaping straight from the sea, we visit the sea lion colony by skiff to snorkel with the agile young sea lions and swim through the rock arch where orange fan and white fire coral sway. Later we sail to Ensenada Grande for more water activities and this evenings farewell dinner where we recap the weeks experiences with a slideshow.
Day 8: San José del Cabo | Your cruise ends after breakfast with a transfer to the Los Cabos airport for those not extending there visit.
