Itinerary highlights
Enjoy unforgettable sightseeing lead by experienced Egyptologists visiting the Temples of Karnak Luxor, Hathor, Horus, Kom Ombo, Philea, the Aga Khan Mausoleum and a felucca sail.
Day 1: Luxor | A visit to the world famous Temple of Karnak as featured in the movie “Death on the Nile” then transfer to your 5-star Nile cruise boat. Lunch on board followed by a visit to the West Bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut passing by the famed Colossi of Memnon as you return.
Day 2: Denderah & Luxor | Breakfast on board cruising north to visit to the Ptolemaic Temple of Goddess Hathor at Denderah with its massive stone roof, dark chambers, underground passages and towering columns returning on board for lunch and afternoon tea whilst sailing back to Luxor for a tour of the strikingly graceful Temple of Luxor on the East Bank.
Day 3: Edfu and Kom Ombo | Breakfast as you cruise to Edfu for a morning visit to explore the Temple of Horus and after lunch board, cruising for an afternoon visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek.
Day 4: Aswan and Felucca Sailing | Breakfast whilst sailing to Aswan followed by a short motorboat ride to visit the majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika and later to the granite quarries to see the unfinished obelisk. Lunch on board followed by an afternoon sail in a felucca around Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.
Day 5: Aswan | Airport transfer after breakfast on board.
